Civil Trades Assistant – Pit & Pipe Installation / Manual Excavation

Stiles Electrical is seeking reliable and hardworking Civil Trades Assistants with a valid HR Licence to join our growing team. We work on a variety of civil and electrical infrastructure projects, including street lighting, pit and pipe installation, sports lighting, landscaping, and large-scale civil construction.

Some of our recent projects include Ocean Reef Marina, City of Perth Street Lighting Upgrade, Princess Margaret Hospital Upgrade, and several sporting complexes across WA.

Job Overview:

As a Civil Trades Assistant at Stiles Electrical, you will support our crews in the delivery of civil works, with a strong focus on:

  • Installing pit and pipe systems for electrical and communications infrastructure.
  • Manual excavation using hand tools and non-mechanical methods.
  • Assisting with conduit installation and cable laying.
  • Working within road reserves, verges, and private property.
  • Driving HR vehicles to and from sites.
  • General site labouring duties, including backfilling and site clean-up.

Essential Criteria:

  • Construction Industry White Card.
  • Valid HR driver's licence.
  • Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.

  • Experience in:

  • Pit and pipe installation.

  • Manual excavation (hand digging, trenching).
  • Cable laying.
  • HR truck operation.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Western Power Cable Layer's ticket.
  • Experience operating small civil plant and equipment.
  • Additional excavation experience.
