Contract Administrator/Engineer for Earthworks Company NOR

PULLELLA EARTHMOVING are seeking a Contract Administrator / Engineer to join our team.
Pullella Earthmoving established in 1995 is a long standing and experienced Earthworks and Civil Contractor in the WA Construction Industry.
Duties & Requirements:
- Working cooperatively with Project Managers & Operations Staff on secured projects to assist with the preparation & submission of variations and progress claims.
- Compiling and entering dayworks sheets for variations and job dockets for tracking job costs.
- Organising and submitting project QA documentation.
- Site visits to current projects to liaise, plan and organise project's with on site management in relation the above duties.
- Preparation and submission of onbarding documentation for new projects.
- Assisting the Estimating team with the following:
- Estimating from first principles for Bulk & Detailed Earthworks, Roadworks, Subdivisions, Commercial Earthworks, Stormwater Drainage Services, Retaining walls etc.
- Identifying tender opportunities through various avenues.
- Downloading & reviewing tender documents for completeness and to gain an understanding of project requirements (eg drawings, technical specification, BOQ and conditions of contract etc).
- Measuring & creation of take-offs and BOQs.
- Submitting tenders after review with Senior Management.
- Negotiating & procuring new contracts.
- Site tender visits to assess site conditions to assist with preparation of estimates and quotations.
The below are the pre-requisites to be considered for the opportunity:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Excellent computer skills.
- A strong work ethic.
- Multi-tasking and capable of pricing and working on multiple jobs.
- Experience and knowledge of contracts and subcontracts.
- Own transport – office is based in Wangara.
