DFE Contracting is a rapidly growing utility installation company. With Directional Drilling forming our core business we are a trusted contractor for the delivery of works in the power, gas, water, and comms space. Most of our work is Perth Metro based however we do have opportunities all over the state which may require travel from time to time.

We are looking for Experienced Excavator Operations & Cable Layers to support our continued expansion. DFE can offer multiple career pathways in the utility installation space and is committed to supporting our employees growth. Ideal team members will be eager to learn and willing to jump in and help.

Minimum requirements we are looking for include:

  • Construction Induction (Blue/White Card)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Excavator Operator Ticket
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team
  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to HSEQ
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings and BYDA plans
  • Demonstrates understanding of risk management process

Highly desirable qualifications include:

  • Western Power Network Authority Card
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Lay ESI Electrical Cables
  • Identify, Locate & Protect Underground Services

We offer competitive pay packages depending on qualifications and experience as well as a great work environment. This includes on the job training with our knowledgeable crew members as well as facilitating formal qualifications such as Cert III in Trenchless Technology, Cert III Civil Construction, and Cable Laying. Full Time and Casual Positions available for immediate start.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
