About the Role

Join Communify's Way Back Support Service, a non-clinical recovery program supporting people after a suicide attempt or crisis. In this role, you'll provide practical, Individualised support with a dedicated focus on LGBTQIA+ clients, helping them stay safe, connect with services, and rebuild their lives. 0.8 FTE Level 5 SCHCaDS.

What you'll do

  • Provide non-clinical support for up to 3 months post-crisis.
  • Build trusting, respectful relationships with participants and families.
  • Develop safety and wellbeing plans using trauma-informed approaches.
  • Connect clients with mental health, health, and community services.
  • Work collaboratively with hospitals, GPs, and support providers.
  • Champion inclusive practices, particularly for LGBTQIA+ communities.

What you'll bring

  • Qualifications in mental health, social services, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting people in crisis or distress.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approaches.
  • Blue Card, National Police Check, and Open QLD driver's Licence.
