About Us:
Located in the heart of Byron Bay in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, the iconic and much
loved café is looking for a new legend to join our incredible team. Bayleaf Café is a Byron Bay
staple with over 10 years of existence and a favourite for all who visit both tourist and locals,
something which we pride ourselves on.
Bayleaf café is currently looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our
dynamic kitchen team. Whether you are an experienced CDP looking to take the next step or
currently a Sous Chef after your next challenge, we welcome you to join us in one of Byron Bay's most celebrated cafes.
We are a high-volume café/kitchen operating out of an open kitchen between 7am-2pm, so
experience along with being well presented is a must. As a Sous Chef, you'll work closely with
the Head Chef to lead and inspire the team, ensure smooth service, maintain high standards,
and contribute to menu development.

38 hour a week roster with paid reasonable overtime when required
Requirements:
Previous experience in a high-volume Cafe or Restaurant environment in a similar role
Weekend availability a must
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining precision and attention to detail
A positive attitude, strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen
Take pride in your work and have a strong passion for food
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards
Work cohesively and autonomously within a collaborative team environment
Only applicants that have permanent resident status or unrestricted rights to work in
