AIC Mines owns the Eloise Copper Mine located near Cloncurry, QLD.  Eloise is an underground mine with conventional crush-grind-float processing to produce a high-quality copper-gold concentrate.  AIC Mines has recently commenced an expansion of the Eloise operation following the acquisition of the nearby Jericho resource. The Company also owns a portfolio copper and gold exploration projects located across Australia.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Training Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the HST Manager, you will provide on-the-ground support, coaching, and training to employees and line management on the site's training management System. You will support and enhance the site's training standards, ensuring industry best practices and compliance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Effectively plan, develop, deliver, and review training requirements against the Training Needs Analysis (TNA). Drive compliance against business goals
• Provide and facilitate on-site inductions ensuring all employees, and contractors are site compliant
• Provide and facilitate underground and surface heavy vehicle machinery training for new and existing workers including infield verification of competencies (VOCs)
• Routinely generate and analyse training reports to identify training needs and improvements
• Coordinate and present at toolbox meetings
• Ensure training records are accurately maintained and entered into the Training Management System
• Mentor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and to assist with training activities
• Conduct regular audits on Business Partners to ensure training compliance with their scope of contracted work
• Support the reporting and investigation of incidents
• Identify and report potential hazards and eliminate risk taking behaviours or actions of site personnel
• Promote a safe and healthy working environment for all site personnel
• Develop written reports, procedures and site policies as required
• Undertake additional duties as required

Required skills and experience:

• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40116 – Mandatory
• Relevant Workplace Health and Safety qualifications (Cert IV minimum) Extensive experience working in underground mine environments
• Relevant RII competencies for underground and surface heavy vehicle machines
• High risk work license – Desirable
• Working at heights and confined space accredited
• 5 years + experience working in a similar position
• Knowledge and understanding of the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF): Understanding of the Resource Industry and Infrastructure Training Packages and Competency-Based Training methods
• Experience in the Microsoft Office suite of software
• Developed numeracy, written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive attitude and a willingness to develop knowledge
• The ability to coordinate and prioritise workloads
• Be able to work a 14/14 roster
• Full working rights in Australia
• Physically fit and able to pass a medical assessment and police clearance
