The role

The Manager, Digital Products leads a team of digital product specialists, business analysts and engineers to shape, deliver and support integrated digital solutions that enable business strategies and measurable outcomes. This role is pivotal in translating organisational objectives into opportunities that leverage modern digital technologies and reimage the way we work, enabling seamless and holistic human-centred digital solutions. As a strong people leader, you will inspire and develop a high-performing team, influence senior leaders and executives across the organisation and drive the adoption of existing and emerging digital technologies and capabilities. This role will also inspire innovation and facilitate the creation of integrated digital strategies to support evolving business needs and accelerate APRA's digital transformation.

The team

APRA's Technology team delivers, maintains, and enhances essential information technology services that support the organisation's productivity, strategic objectives, and business unit priorities.

Technology partner with stakeholders to design, implement and maintain IT solutions that meet the needs of the organisation and ensuring these are secure and aligned with APRA's technology architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the digital portfolio of initiatives from ideation through delivery, facilitating the prioritisation of the digital product backlog, and sequencing efforts to maximise impact and value.

  • Partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable plans and initiatives.

  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities, optimising digital products and solutions, driving adoption across the organisation.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps aligned with business strategy and priorities.

  • Lead the product lifecycle – discovery, delivery, maintenance, adoption and continuous improvement.

  • Measure outcomes and success, ensuring products and initiatives deliver tangible benefits.

  • Champion innovation and experimentation, bringing fresh ideas and new digital capabilities into the organisation.

  • Maintain awareness of digital trends, emerging technologies and industry best practices to inform product decisions and innovation opportunities

About you

  • Proven experience managing holistic digital product roadmaps and delivering end-to-end initiatives within an agile environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio or program management, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, delivering measurable business outcomes.

  • Proven experience delivering initiatives across multiple digital domains, such as web platforms, workflow, automation and enterprise business products.

  • Experience facilitating user research, journey mapping and human-centred design.

  • Solid understanding of end-to-end product lifecycle, digital architecture, agile methodologies and IT service delivery best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems into opportunities for digitalisation and automation, leveraging existing or emerging digital technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, driving outcomes in an agile, business focused, collaborative environment.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior and executive leaders across all divisions.

  • Demonstrates strategic thinking, adaptability, and APRA-wide mindset, especially in navigating uncertainty and change.

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
