75 Reid St is a community space that's passionate about hosting events that build connections and bring people together. Based in Fitzroy North, our building is hired for gigs, weddings, funerals, conferences, birthdays, theatre, and a whole range of other events.
This allows us to subsidise not-for-profit and community events, and partner with organisations that foster kindness, connection and care. From trauma-sensitive yoga and life drawing to kids' choirs and story writing workshops, 75 Reid St is home to many in a space-poor neighbourhood.
ABOUT THE ROLEOur Venue Administrator is responsible for responding to the flurry of email and phone enquiries, hosting tours of the venue, finalising bookings and managing a great little coworking space.
We are a small team, but we love working together. Want to get involved in hosting events? Or, help connect with our community partners? Fancy yourself handy on the socials? Depending on your passions, skillset, and availability, there's plenty of room for expansion and collaboration.
The role is 24 hours per week, spread over 3-5 weekdays by negotiation. Includes 12.5% Super. We value longevity and aim to create a workplace that is sustainable and respectful of our employees' whole lives.
About youWe're looking for a person who is reliable, diligent and approachable. Ideally, you'll have worked in an administrative role, and venue or event management experience is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities- Responding to venue hire and co-working enquiries with professionalism and tailored communication.
- Managing bookings, contracts, schedules, and communications for events and co-working space.
- Liaising with cleaners, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the venue is clean, functional and well-maintained.
- Supporting financial administration, such as chasing overdue invoices and processing subcontractor payments.
- Oversee the co-working space and building supplies, and restock.
- Handling general administrative duties, including document management, shift rosters, and communication tracking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a friendly and professional manner.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bookings and hirers.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (Drive, Calendar), and basic financial software.
- Experience in venue, event, office or operations administration.
- Basic bookkeeping or invoicing experience (preferred).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and collaborate with a team.
- Enjoys working with a diverse community of hirers and clients.
