Engineering Applications (ENAP) is a professional mechanical engineering and construction company with established workshops at Hemmant and Carole Park. With over 45 years' experience, we specialise in the design, fabrication, installation and maintenance of diverse process plant and equipment, as well as full construction management services.

The Opportunity

Due to sustained growth and an expanding client base, we're looking for an experienced SMP Supervisor to join our busy Projects and Installation Department. This role is all about leading site-based teams and making sure SMP (structural, mechanical, piping) work is delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

We need someone who's just as comfortable leading from the front as they are rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in. You'll be running jobs across Brisbane and SEQ, keeping projects on track, up to spec and done safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead crews on site and keep daily work on track.
  • Supervise installs, shutdowns, maintenance and fabrication jobs.
  • Run toolbox talks and make sure safety standards are met.
  • Check drawings, inspect work and complete quality docs.
  • Spot issues early, solve problems and keep schedules moving.
  • Keep in touch with clients, PMs and other trades.
  • Build a solid team culture and mentor crew members.

About You

You are a hands-on leader with a strong mechanical background who can adapt quickly across varied sites and projects. You bring both technical know-how and the interpersonal skills to lead crews and maintain client confidence.

Essential Requirements

  • Trade qualified - Mechanical Fitting/Fabrication or similar.
  • Construction Induction White/Blue Card.
  • Solid SMP install, commissioning & shutdown experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team, with flexibility for overtime and weekend work.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Certificate IV in Leadership & Management.
  • High Risk Tickets - Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging, Franna Crane.
  • Current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets.
  • First Aid / CPR certification.
