RCR Mining Technologies is seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join our high-performing Service Delivery division. This role is pivotal to the safe, efficient, and commercially sound delivery of shutdowns, installations, and site-based projects across all stages—from initiation and planning through to execution and closeout.

As a Project Engineer at RCR, you'll be instrumental in ensuring technical, financial, and operational success while upholding our commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support planning and delivery of fixed plant shutdowns and installations.
  • Prepare and review scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, and methodologies.
  • Monitor project milestones and critical path activities.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Australian Standards.
  • Develop and review technical documentation and vendor deliverables.
  • Manage technical queries and non-conformances during execution.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Assist in tendering, estimating, and proposal preparation.
  • Liaise across project teams, clients, vendors, and engineering staff.
  • Promote strong client relationships and alignment of expectations.
  • Provide technical support to site supervisors and participate in client reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC, HSEQ, and project governance standards.
  • Monitor project costs and support financial reviews and variation claims.
  • Coordinate procurement with supply chain and project managers.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or related field)
  • 5+ years in a Project Engineering role
  • Construction White Card & Current Driver's Licence
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ and QA processes
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and preparing scopes

Desirable:

  • AutoCAD / Navisworks competency
  • Section 26 training
  • Site-based experience in mining/resources
  • Experience with shutdowns and fixed plant equipment
  • Background in estimating and proposal preparation
