Electrical Engineer for NOVEMBER START (Perth/Bunbury)

OFI is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with more than five years' experience in Industrial Electrical applications within Australia.

To be considered for the positions it is essential to have the following skills and experience:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years' Post Graduate Electrical, experience in Heavy Industrial Applications within Australia;
  • Have an Australian Electrical Engineering Bachelor Degree and a valid membership with Engineers Australia;
  • Have a strong understanding of Australian Electrical Standards, Western Australian Electrical Regulations and Defence contracts and standards;
  • Be someone who can lead all aspects of HV/ LV design and power systems analysis projects across a wide range of industries e.g. mining, processing plant etc;
  • Ability to provide engineering support including functional specification development, design coordination, safety in design direction and reviews, constructability reviews, testing and commissioning assistance and ensure that design deliverables are met;
  • Ability to perform maximum demand calculations and have power system modelling experience including Earthing & Bonding systems;
  • Have the capability to read and interpret P & IDs and has demonstrable experience in Electrical Design with high competency in a mix of design arenas including Power Systems, Control, Instrumentation and Communications;
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and OFI personnel;
  • Have demonstrated design and commissioning experience in Hazardous Area Design & Construction (D&C) projects; and
  • Have the capability of writing reports and specifications for electrical works with a sufficient understanding of the control system and writing philosophy documents e.g. Basis of Design (BoD), CSFD etc.
