OCRT is seeking Expressions of Interest from Cyber Security Engineers with expertise in Defence security systems and technical implementation. We're looking for practitioners seeking to grow their career with an Australian-owned company working within the National Security Sector as part of our Canberra-based workforce.

We are seeking EOIs from Cyber Security Engineers supporting Defence lab environments and classified systems.

The technical work:

  • Design, deploy and maintain cybersecurity systems and security appliances
  • Implement ISM Security Controls within classified environments
  • Configure firewalls, cross-domain solutions, and security gateways
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, and compliance activities
  • Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
  • Develop automation scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
  • Support Defence exercises and security system operations

You'll need:

  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity systems in Defence or government
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Windows security, networking, and virtualisation
  • Understanding of Defence Cybersecurity Assessment & Authorisation framework
  • Experience with security documentation and compliance
  • Relevant tertiary/vocational qualifications in cybersecurity or IT
  • NV1 clearance (mandatory)
