System Administrators – Top Secret PV Cleared | Defence Cyber Operations

Location:

Are you a highly skilled System/Application Administrator ready to contribute to Australia's national security mission? A high-impact federal agency is seeking experienced professionals to support critical cyber operations, insider threat detection, and investigative support functions.

This role sits within a specialised directorate focused on digital forensics, secure data management, and the integrity of audit logging systems used in national security investigations. You'll be part of a team delivering technical capability to support sensitive task force operations and strategic cyber initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy secure infrastructure across Linux and Windows environments
  • Automate provisioning and deployment processes
  • Maintain monitoring and metrics systems for visibility and performance
  • Support SIEM platforms and forensic data workflows
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and support development teams
  • Ensure compliance with national cyber security standards and frameworks

Key Skills & Experience

  • System administration and cyber security governance expertise
  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, F5, and Extreme Networks
  • VPN, network encryption, and WAN solution proficiency
  • Familiarity with SDN technologies (VMWare NSX-T, Cisco ACI)
  • Strategic cyber engineering and capability uplift experience
  • Data engineering, ETL, and secure data pipelining capabilities
  • Strong documentation skills (Security DLDs, SSPs, incident reports)
