Summary:

We're seeking a Cyber Range Operator to support the setup, execution, and maintenance of cyber range environments used for training, testing, and operational readiness exercises. You will be responsible for running live and simulated cyber events, managing technical infrastructure, and assisting in the delivery of cutting-edge cybersecurity exercises.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain cyber range environments for exercises, training and demonstrations.
  • Configure, monitor, and reset virtual machines, networks, and systems within the cyber range.
  • Deploy and manage training scenarios, including both defensive and offensive (red/blue team) simulations.
  • Provide technical support during exercises, ensuring stable system performance and quick troubleshooting.
  • Assist in developing and testing new scenarios, datasets, and network configurations.
  • Maintain range documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cyber trainers, engineers, and analysts to deliver high quality training experiences.
  • Capture logs and performance metrics for after-action reviews and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • NV2 Security Clearance
  • Proven experience in Cyber Range operations, simulation, or exercise planning
  • Familiarity with Defence ICT environments, including classified networks and simulation platforms
  • Strong background in network and systems administration
  • Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies, scripting, and cyber security tools
  • Ability to work in high-tempo, mission-critical environments with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical documentation skills
