Elf Farm Supplies are a world-leading producer of premium Mushroom Compost. Our team is expanding, and we are searching for an Assistant Production Manager to join our production team on a full-time permanent basis on the day shift.

Your duties and responsibilities:

·       Assist the Production Manager with all aspects of leading, directing and controlling the production process

·       Planning and scheduling production activities and staff rosters to meet quality standards and customer requirements

·       Operate, monitor and manage instruments and computerised control systems

·       Creation and data input of operations critical paperwork.

·       Order, manage and maintain stock controls and supplier contracts. Coordinate provision of 24-hour monitoring of computer-controlled production processes.

·       Ensure compliance with Quality Control, Hygiene, Chemical Management, and HACAP requirements

·       Coordinate effectively with internal departments, customers and delivery drivers

·       Assist in implementing company policies, procedures, and operations standards

·       Provide leadership support in the absence of the Production Manager

Role requirements:

· Located within the local and surrounding suburbs (preferred), 30min drive to and from site – Mulgrave, NSW

·       Driver's License and Car

·       Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts, rostered public holidays, and on call rosters as required

Ideal experience for the role:

·       Experience in manufacturing and/or production planning and scheduling processes.

·       Experience and thorough knowledge of manufacturing, production and/or project management software.

·       Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Environmental Sciences or equivalent (advantageous)
