The Sr Project Manageris responsible for the successful delivery of their assigned project. This requires preparing, planning, executing, and controlling all aspects of the project either directly or through delegation with the project team. Successful delivery requires monitoring and controlling financials, works schedule, resources (including subcontractors) as well as managing the project stakeholders (internal and external).

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for a project team of multi-skilled employees, including maintaining the project Safety Plan and OH&S responsibilities within the team.
• Ensure the Project Team adheres to the high standards of Health and Safety management required by Honeywell and our customers.
• Maintain overall responsibility for the delivery of complex projects to the required quality, schedule, and budget.
• Deploy standard methodologies in the delivery and control of projects. Ensure use of Honeywell project processes and tools
• Direct the day-to-day operations of the project team.
• Developing trust, managing the relationship with customers, and ensuring a shared understanding of key issues between all parties is maintained, maintain customer relationships at the appropriate senior level.
• Manage effective communications with all project stakeholders.
• Define all subcontract /supply requirements and work with Supply Chain to ensure all subcontractor/supplier contracts and orders are appropriate for the project from a scope/cost and risk viewpoint. Lead or participate in negotiations as necessary.
• Deliver to the financial objectives for the project and control billing and costs for the project. Drive project team to maintain Estimated Actual Cost at Completion

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or Information Technology (Preferred)
• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management are preferred.
• Further education in management or project management would also be advantageous
• Proven experience in project management including budget ownership/management, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting and planning preferably on projects in excess of $10M.
• Demonstrated experience in safety and safety management on large commercial and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated project experience involving the delivery of large and complex building management and HVAC systems.
• Commitment to the development of junior or less experienced staff in the project team

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of BMS/HVAC principles and design knowledge.
• Excellent computer, written and oral communication, and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of business, technology, and external environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starting, able to work with a minimum of supervision
• Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment
