Are you an experienced HR Generalist looking for a meaningful part-time role where you can make a real impact? Our Client is seeking an experienced, proactive, and values-driven HR Manager to join its team based in Tamworth.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a HR function and support a growing organisation.

The Role

As the HR Manager, you will be the cornerstone of the people and culture strategy. This is a hands-on, generalist role that requires strong practical experience across the full employee lifecycle and a deep understanding of workplace health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generalist HR Management: Oversee all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and policy development.

  • Work Health & Safety (WHS): Champion a proactive safety culture, manage WHS compliance, risk assessments, incident reporting, and workers' compensation claims.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a small, dedicated HR team, fostering their professional development and ensuring efficient service delivery.

  • HR Strategy: Work closely with the Management team to align HR initiatives with the organisation's strategic goals and operational needs.

  • Compliance: Ensure all HR practices and WHS procedures comply with relevant Australian legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.

About You

You are a confident, energetic professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for people and business. You thrive in a dynamic, community setting and are ready to take ownership of the HR function.

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or Business related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Generalist, including significant responsibility for the full HR lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated experience and strong practical knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation and management systems.

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Experience in leading and managing a small team.

  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.

  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel within our service regions.

  • The ability to work the agreed 30 hours per week and occasional, reasonable overtime when required to meet organisational needs.
