Catering HQ Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in driving Event based business into our Castle Hill group venues. You will be a highly driven individual with a passion for securing the next best events for our venues and nurturing relationships to ensure repeat clients.

Catering HQ is a family run company that was established in 1996. We currently have 13 fabulous venues across Sydney. THE ROLE

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve organisational objectives, including identifying target markets, developing sales strategies, forging strategic partnerships, and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the internal operations team to ensure project delivery.
  • Drive the overall performance of the sales team, ensuring achievement of financial targets, operational efficiencies, and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Proactively source and convert new event sales leads (corporate, social, and private)
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans for effective lead generation
  • Provide weekly sales reporting and forecasting
  • Understand market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses to set strategies
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and yearly sales targets and KPIs
  • Create new business opportunities through cold calling
  • Warm calling of contacts from past quotations and business
  • Gain feedback from clients and communicate results
  • Ensure effective communication between all team members, enabling the staff to provide high-standard customer service to our clients efficiently
  • Touring and follow-up of potential clients at each assigned location
  • Liaise with designated venue staff to strengthen existing social media marketing

KEY QUALITIES

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the position.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative business development strategies.
  • Resilient, motivated, and possess a high level of analytical thinking.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong drive for achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Manage deadlines under pressure
