Position Title: Credit Management Officer

Are you experienced in the credit management or debt recovery industry? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join a leading financial services business that is proudly local.

In this full-time role based in Geelong, your role will focus on the provision of professional interactions with our delinquent clients and with external parties such as mercantile agencies, solicitors, auctioneers, creditors, administrators, executors, trustees and government bodies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Managing daily communication with clients regarding payments and arrangements, and in turn discussing plans and necessary actions to address.

  • Collection activities include, but are not limited to, monitoring of dishonors, issuance of arrears letters, lodging security caveats, instigating asset recovery actions, conducting skip tracing, checking PPSR details, and direct client discussions over phone.

  • Coordinating actions with Mercantile Agents on active files and cases.

  • Collaborating with Auction Groups on repossessed asset valuations and sales.

  • Referring files for potential legal action.

  • Ensure all relevant internal systems, databases, file records, and checklists are always current and accurate, via own and teams' actions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and personal attributes:

  • Strong commitment to customer service, including excellent and respectful communication skills.

  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team.

  • A proactive approach.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Effective time management skills with a dedication to meeting deadlines.

  • A positive approach to teamwork, engaging and influencing a variety of stakeholders.

Your experience & qualifications:

· Previous Credit Control/Collection experience is necessary, and ideally within the asset finance industry.

· High computer literacy is essential.
