Summary

HID Global's EAT RFID Business Unit is seeking a driven and experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead the promotion and sales of Omnikey Desktop and Embedded readers in Australia and New Zealand. As a dedicated RSM for this region, you will play a critical role in establishing HID's presence in the region, building a foundation for growth by developing new channels, securing key partnerships, and driving the adoption of Omnikey solutions in all key verticals such as Healthcare, Enterprise, Banking, Secure Printing, Surveillance and EV Charging.

The RSM will take full ownership of channel development, go-to-market (GTM) strategy, market penetration, and the growth of HID's EAT RFID solutions, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure that the Omnikey product line achieves maximum visibility and success in the ANZ market.

The ideal candidate will develop and manage the regional sales strategy, build and maintain relationships with distributors, resellers and end customers, and ensure a structured sales process to maximize revenue. A deep understanding of the ANZ market, business culture, and distribution channels is essential. The role requires proficiency in English.

As our Regional Sales Manager, ANZ, you'll support HID's success by:

  • Opportunities Hunting - To pursue potential customers and strategic partners through trade shows, seminars, partner events, and various marketing initiatives.
  • Business Development: Create comprehensive account plans to drive new revenue from both new and existing customers.
  • Channel and Partner Management: Establish, manage, and maintain a robust channel network by identifying, onboarding, and training new distributors, resellers, and system integrators. Build strong relationships with channel partners to maximize product availability, market reach, and overall performance.
  • Territory Management: Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to nurture existing customer relationships, cultivate new partnerships, and explore untapped business opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy & Market Development: Lead the development and execution of the sales strategy for Omnikey Desktop and Embedded readers in all areas with an emphasis in key verticals such as Healthcare, Enterprise, Banking, Secure Printing, Surveillance and EV Charging.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Define and execute the GTM strategy for Omnikey readers in the ANZ region. Work with marketing and product management teams to ensure that messaging, positioning, and sales tools align with the region's unique market demands.
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with end-users, resellers, and system integrators to promote the benefits and applications of Omnikey Desktop and Embedded solutions. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through tailored solutions and ongoing support.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, technical, and product management teams to ensure alignment between market needs and product offerings. Provide feedback to guide product roadmaps and enhance solution offerings.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent HID Global and the Omnikey product line at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance market visibility and establish HID as a leader in the region.
  • Performance Reporting: Deliver detailed performance metrics and regular reports on sales progress, channel performance, and GTM effectiveness.

Your Experience and Background include:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in business is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in business development and/or technical sales, preferably within the technology or RFID sector, with a proven track record of sales and a solid understanding of RFID technologies and the sales process.
  • A highly motivated individual contributor.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in Australia and New Zealand markets, specifically in electronic components, RFID, physical security, or related industries.
  • Previous experience in Physical or Logical access control use cases, with familiarity in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Authentication credential technologies, as well as additional knowledge in mobile-centric digital transformation, is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage a network of channel partners and integrators. An existing network in the ANZ region is advantageous.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives resulting in sales growth, particularly within Healthcare, Enterprise, Banking, Secure Printing, Surveillance and EV Charging verticals. Understanding of end-user corporate cultures and decision-making processes in Government, Education, and Commercial Real Estate is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead presentations and establish credibility with both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work as part of a cross-functional team. Experience working effectively across various departments, such as marketing, product development, and technical teams, to drive results.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong reasoning abilities to investigate and analyze information, draw relevant conclusions, and deal with complexity and ambiguity.
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and an ability to manage complex sales cycles.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively as a "speaker" via web-based presentations and in face-to-face meetings with internal and external stakeholders and customers.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
