Reporting to the Regulatory & Compliance Manager ANZ, the role provides administrative support on compliance, regulatory oversight, finance. The role will also provide back up support for market engagement, events and general office management.

The role involves regulatory reporting, horizon scanning legislative change and assessing impact, drafting market communications, updating policies and procedures, payment of invoices and submission of expenses, maintaining contact distribution lists and responding to and managing stakeholder enquiries.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Assist with identifying, analysing, implementing and communicating legislative developments, new guidelines and regulations to the Lloyd's market.
  • Support the maintenance of the Lloyd's Australia regulatory registers incl. Regulatory Change, Regulatory Obligations, Regulatory Reporting & Fees register
  • Provides general administrative support to the Regulatory and Compliance manager and broader Lloyd's Australia team,
  • Support coordination and filing of regulatory returns for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Assist with the review and update the Lloyd's Australia compliance management policies and procedures, business continuity procedures and office manual to ensure they are fit for purpose and comply with both UK and local requirements.
  • Support the coordination of the Lloyd's Australia Financial Audit and associated information requests.
  • Prepare, submit and monitor the payment of invoices, fees, levies and staff expenses and raise orders/requisitions using Workday.
  • Monitor shared email inboxes to ensure enquiries and are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Maintain good relationships with key stakeholders and maintain distribution contact lists on Dynamics.
  • Support the delivery of market engagement activities.
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the line manager or the Company.

  • A good "risk radar" and effective detection/risk escalation strategies.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the Australian regulatory framework and compliance principles.
  • Knowledge of the General Insurance Code of Practice or similar industry codes.
