The Role
The primary focus will be leading the execution and delivery of technology project assurance services, providing exceptional service to clients. Understanding the client's business needs and demonstrating technical expertise in their specific product group and industry will be crucial to achieving this.
Additionally, the Successful Individual will:
- Identify, mitigate, and manage risks during all stages of technology projects while fostering a risk-aware culture among project teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring effective risk management practices are integrated throughout all projects.
- Review delivery, governance, and risk management of complex transformation programs.
Including reviews of:
- Ongoing system implementations.
- Project health checks.
- Project governance.
- Traceability.
- Project risk management.
- System integration.
- System testing.
- Data migration.
- Business change management.
- Benefits management.
Your Profile
The Ideal candidate is a highly accomplished, articulate and credible consulting professional from one of the Big 4 consulting firms, a large technology consulting business or a boutique consulting practice. Alternatively, our client is also keen to meet individuals who may currently be working in industry and are seeking a return to the consulting world.
The ideal candidate must be able to engage across the entire delivery lifecycle of an IT project and bring a risk and compliance mindset embedded into delivery assurance.
Our client will create tailored career plans to ensure the cadence of an accelerated career plan to the next level for each team member and is keen to consider individuals who are currently at a Associate Director or Senior Manager level.
Key attributes for success in this role include:
- Bachelor's Degree
in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Information Systems). - End-to-End Technology Delivery Knowledge
- hands-on understanding across all phases: requirements gathering, solution design, technical architecture, build, system integration, testing, data migration, cutover, and go-live readiness.
- Design and Architecture Fluency
- able to interrogate and assess design decisions, technical scope, data flows, interfaces, and integration points and confident engaging with architects, engineers, and technical leads to evaluate delivery feasibility and architecture integrity.
- Testing and Implementation Risk -
including test planning, environment readiness, data quality, traceability, defect management, and go/no-go decision governance. - Regulatory Assurance Experience
- understanding of how to assess delivery controls, documentation quality, and evidencing compliance and defensibility.
- Financial Services & Technology Exposure
- deep knowledge of financial services delivery contexts – core platforms, high data sensitivity, operational resilience, data lineage, and security.
- Assurance Review Leadership
- scope, plan, and execute assurance reviews (e.g. health checks, deep dives, control assessments). Experienced in developing meaningful lines of inquiry, conducting stakeholder interviews, synthesising evidence, and driving outcomes.
- Experience in contributing to growing revenues
through leveraging commercial contacts and diversifying the services offered to existing clients. - Prior exposure to supervising
in a team environment, coaching strong teams and fostering interpersonal connections.
