About The Position

  • Support people aged over 65 that need assistance to live independently at home
  • Have the variety to work with older adults, driving to various houses throughout the day, with the backing of a supportive office team

Skills And Experience

  • Domestic Tasks: Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, changing beds (80% of your work)
  • Personal Care: Assist with showering, grooming, and dressing
  • Respite Care: Give primary carers a break by caring for their loved ones
  • Wellbeing Checks: Monitor clients' wellbeing and report to a Team Leader

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, or Individual Support (including Personal Care unit and relevant showering experience)
  • Driver's License: Current Victorian license and a roadworthy vehicle
  • Updated First Aid and CPR
  • Employee Working with Children card
  • Availability: 3-5 days per week (Monday to Friday, flexible hours between 8.00am and 5.00pm)

Additional Requirements

  • Experience: Working with older clients and understanding their needs
  • Skills: Excellent communication to work with clients, families, and office staff
  • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Access to a smartphone and email
  • Shortlisted applicants will be required to have a pre-employment medical
