Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator
Crux HUC Project – Offshore
12-month Contract (probable extension)
TSS is a labour hire and recruitment consultancy focused on the resources and energy sectors. We are seeking two experienced PTW Coordinators to support the Crux HUC Project. These roles will be critical in ensuring the safe and efficient implementation of the Permit to Work system across all offshore activities.
The Role
- 2 positions available (likely one dayshift and one nightshift)
- Initial mobilisation in Perth office (1–2 weeks) for inductions and familiarisation before moving offshore (anticipated offshore phase from 28 October)
- 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
- Reports to Project HSE Manager
Roster & Rate
- Even time roster, 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off
- Onshore: $120 per hour inc. super
- Offshore: $133.30 per hour inc. super
- Expected start: Monday 13 October (approx. 2 weeks prior to offshore phase)
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate and oversee the PTW system for all offshore work activities
- Ensure permits are prepared, approved and issued in line with project and client requirements
- Facilitate daily PTW meetings and maintain accurate records of all planned and ongoing activities
- Support risk assessments and ensure effective hazard controls are in place
- Conduct routine PTW audits and compliance checks
- Provide guidance, support and training to personnel on PTW requirements
Experience & Background
- Prior experience as a PTW Coordinator is essential
- Offshore oil and gas experience preferred but not mandatory
- Open to candidates from other industries (e.g. mining) with proven PTW system management experience
- Strong understanding of PTW principles, risk management and safe systems of work
- Good communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Client-side, EPCM and contractor backgrounds all considered
Qualifications
- WHS, engineering or trade qualification desirable
- Minimum 10 years' relevant industry experience, including 5 years in PTW coordination, preferred
- Familiarity with both paper-based and electronic PTW systems
- Strong computer literacy and documentation management skills
