**The role**

The
**Production Planner** position is responsible for developing the short, medium and long term production plans for GALE Pacific’s dual line manufacturing facility located in Braeside. This position acts to coordinate production and raw material related planning, purchasing and scheduling matters and works closely with other departments to resolve production issues. The role also consults and provides production scheduling insights to customers regarding planned completion of orders.
- Ensure HSE standards and procedures are maintained at all times, following all procedures and safety practices, and leading others by example
- Develop and maintain production plans for short (0-3 months), medium (3-12 months) and long (12 months +) in line with sales targets, forecasted demand and inventory targets.
- Monitor the planning and purchasing of appropriate raw materials associated with production plans, highlighting requirements or shortfalls to the Procurement Lead.
- Work alongside Manufacturing and Demand Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing teams to ensure all functions are being met with adequate support
- Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of master data for Production Planning, including product codes, raw materials, bills of materials and routings.
- Participate in the S&OP process through sharing of production capacity related information and issues.
- Provide detailed reporting and visibility of information to the business in a regular, highly structured manner.
- Develop and report on key metrics in relation to Production Planning
- Investigate any non-conformance impacting delivery to customer utilising own skill and that of Production team members
- Facilitate testing and QMS procedural requirements within the production plans to ensure compliance is met with internal and external standards
- Tertiary qualifications in supply chain or relevant disciplines (preferred)
- High level of competence with MS Office (especially excel)
- Microsoft Dynamics AX12, D365 experience or other ERP platforms
- Experience in production planning in a commercial manufacturing environment
- Highly analytically minded, developed problem solving capability, strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact across all levels of the business
