We're seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) replacement program — a once-in-a-generation initiative to transform the way critical infrastructure systems are monitored and controlled across the state.

The existing SCADA software has evolved over 25 years and is now being replaced with a modern, off-the-shelf (COTS) platform that will bring standardisation, scalability, and long-term reliability to operations. This role offers the opportunity to drive real impact in modernising essential services that support communities every day.

You will lead a dedicated project team to deliver the end-to-end implementation of the SCADA replacement program, guiding it from initial planning through to successful deployment. This includes managing budgets, schedules, risks, and vendor relationships to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.

A key part of the role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with technology vendors, internal subject matter experts, and operational teams across multiple sites to ensure collaboration and alignment. You will also oversee governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure transparency and that all objectives are met.

In addition, you will champion continuous improvement by promoting the use of best-practice project management methodologies, tools, and frameworks, ensuring consistency and quality across all stages of delivery.

About You
You're an accomplished Technology Project Manager with a track record of delivering complex software or infrastructure programs within operational environments. You bring structure, energy, and leadership to cross-functional teams and are comfortable navigating both technical and stakeholder challenges.

You'll also bring:

• Strong experience managing large-scale technology implementation or replacement projects (preferably in OT, SCADA, or critical infrastructure domains).

• Proven ability to manage multi-vendor delivery models and complex stakeholder landscapes.

• Exceptional communication, governance, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
