We are currently seeking an Irrigation / Farm Hand to join our farming team based at our Wallaville farms. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of irrigation systems and supporting day-to-day farming activities to maintain overall farm productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating, monitoring, and maintaining irrigation systems (pumps, pipes, drip, pivot, flood).
  • Adjusting water application according to crop requirements and weather conditions.
  • Performing routine checks, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of irrigation equipment.
  • Supporting the broader farm team with general farm duties as required.
  • Contributing to a strong safety-first culture and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Previous farming or irrigation experience (sugarcane or horticulture desirable).
  • Strong understanding of water management and irrigation practices.
  • Experience operating farm machinery (tractors or other equipment an advantage).
  • Demonstrated reliability, honesty, and excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
