PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Sales & Purchasing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting both the purchasing and sales functions of the business. You'll ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of ingredient products, while also maintaining strong customer relationships that drive sales and deliver excellent service. This role is about more than transactions it's about thriving together with customers, suppliers, and teammates, and contributing to a supply chain that is here for good.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing – 30%

  • Source, negotiate, and purchase food products from approved domestic suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure continuous product availability.
  • Maintain supplier relationships, evaluating performance on price, quality, and reliability.
  • Support the procurement process from enquiry to delivery, ensuring seamless execution
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of key products.

Account Management & Sales Coordination - 70%

  • Manage and grow relationships with key customers, understanding their ingredient needs
  • Research market trends and identify sourcing opportunities to match customer demand
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer accounts, ensuring exceptional service
  • Develop relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best solutions
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the current portfolio of key customers
  • Systems savvy — comfortable with CRM, inventory, and process tools.
