Your Role
The Program Services Co-ordinator is a full-time position that combines hands-on client support with program coordination and team leadership responsibilities. You'll provide approximately 30 hours per week of direct support within BestLife's group-based programs (e.g. SIL, STA), modelling person-centred active support practices and high-quality service delivery. An additional 8 hours per week will involve administrative responsibilities including rostering, stakeholder liaison, resource planning, and team operations in collaboration with the Senior Program Manager. You'll play a key role in maintaining program quality, mentoring and training staff, and ensuring day-to-day service delivery.
Can you bring the following to our team?
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health, disability, education, or a related field (minimum 3-year degree)
- At least 2 years' hands-on experience in the disability sector in a client-facing role
- Capacity to work flexible hours, including up to 4-5 inactive sleepover shifts a fortnight including mid-week and weekends in our group-based programs
- Experience that demonstrates your understanding of person-centred active support practice and behaviour support principles.
- The ability to guide, manage, and support small teams of disability support workers (e.g. within SIL or STA programs)
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to be part of a 24/7 on-call support roster including rostered weekdays, and shared weekends. As part of this role, you may also be required to attend programs to support staff or cover absences whilst on call.
- The ability to coordinate the day-to-day operational requirements of program delivery, including rostering, resource planning, documentation, and communication with staff, families and other stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills including both written and verbal with a respectful and solution-focused mindset
- A high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and self-motivation

Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in either health, disability, education (3 year or 4 year degree)
- Minimum experience of 2 years working in the disability sector in a client-facing role experience (e.g. support worker, team leader or house co-ordinator) with a registered NDIS provider
- Experience in management or supervisory roles
- Current Driver's License
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- To hold or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening card and Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS Orientation Training certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- And most importantly, a passion and enthusiasm to help young people with disability create the regular independent lives they deserve
While not 'must haves', the following will be a plus:
- Experience supporting people who use Augmentative and Alternative Communicaiton
- Experience supporting people with complex behaviours
- Proficient with MS word, Xcel and basic database management
