Berwick Fabrications are a leading steel fabrication company specialising in architectural metalwork, balustrades, handrails, custom metalwork and light structural steel, known for delivering quality, safety, and precision. Our workshop is the engine room of the business, and we're looking for a leader who thrives both supervising and fabricating.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Factory Foreman to lead our workshop team. You will oversee day-to-day factory operations, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely, while actively contributing to fabrication work yourself. This role requires excellent leadership skills, strong steel fabrication knowledge, and the ability to manage both people and production timelines.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and work alongside the team on fabrication, welding & assembly.
  • Manage daily production schedules & allocate tasks.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings with accuracy.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  • Liaise with project manager and drafting to keep jobs moving.

What You Bring

  • Proven hands-on steel fabrication & welding experience.
  • Leadership or supervisory background in a workshop environment.
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings and problem-solve on the spot.
  • Relevant trade qualifications/licences (forklift, welding tickets) a bonus.
