About the role

This is a full-time Transport and Logistics Manager role based in Yatala, Queensland, working for Explore Industries Australia Pty Ltd, a leading manufacturer and distributor of fibreglass swimming pools . In this crucial position, you will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling of all swimming pool deliveries and products to our dealer network.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading a team of distribution staff and truck drivers in various locations throughout Australia
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise the company's supply chain and distribution processes
  • Manage the daily operations of distribution yards and transportation assets
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to coordinate logistics activities and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Oversee the training and development of distribution personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
  • Collaborate with sub contractors and customers to build strong relationships and enhance the overall customer experience
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety standards
  • Maintaining a fleet of freight assets throughout Australia

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar transport or logistics management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective logistics strategies to optimise supply chain operations
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and find creative solutions to complex challenges
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Accurately input and maintain delivery schedules and logistics information in relevant systems
  • Knowledge of NHVR regulations
