The Role:

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on Sous Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and has a genuine love for Greek cuisine. You'll take creative and operational ownership of the kitchen, driving excellence in food quality, consistency, cost control, team management, and kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and develop the kitchen team
  • Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and consistency
  • Innovate and evolve our menu while staying true to traditional Greek flavours
  • Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, and budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and OH&S standards
  • Work closely with the executive team on business strategy, menu development, and seasonal promotions

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a busy restaurant environment
  • Strong understanding of Greek or Mediterranean cuisine (experience in Greek cooking preferred)
  • A natural leader with excellent communication and team-building skills
  • A passion for high-quality produce and seasonal, fresh ingredients
  • Ability to work under pressure with calm and focus
  • Understanding of kitchen financials including COGS and labour control
