We are currently seeking a Maintenance Administrator at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) – Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
About You:
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Administrator to join and support our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV).
Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you will play an integral role in supporting our sites maintenance team. Working in a dynamic environment, you will support these needs in a cost-effective and efficient manner, ensuring that business practices are followed, and continuous improvements are introduced.
Duties will include:
- Assist with EOM reports, including safety reports, statutory reports and department statistics
- Assist with invoicing and purchase orders
- Kronos (Time/Leave Management) administration and user support
- SAP data entry and data management
- Coordinate on-boarding of new starters including induction bookings and uniform orders
- Timesheet reconciliations
- Working collaboratively with other site administrators
About You:
- Demonstrated administration experienced preferably within a maintenance or mining environment.
- SAP experiences essential.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and use internal databases and computer programs.
- A Certificate in Business Administration would be advantageous
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with problem solving ability.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety as a way of life.
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight (Mon-Fri/ Mon-Thurs) roster with one rostered day off every other week for residential applicants in the Mackay, Nebo, Moranbah, Clermont area. DIDO options available to allow for a residential lifestyle with full camp facilities.

Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values
- Act in accordance with and adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management System
- Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences, and department events including audio/visual needs
- Create, develop, and update presentations and confidential documents for various department projects and initiatives
- Maintain and update department systems; retrieve information when needed
- Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies as requested
- Handle confidential and non-routine information when necessary
- Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects
- Act as project manager for special projects as requested
- Support department finances by processing invoices, travel reimbursement and approval, and reconciling corporate credit card expenses
- Sort and distribute mail including organization of overnight mail delivers; respond to regularly occurring requests for information
- Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
- Other duties as assigned by the company
EXPERIENCE
- 2 – 6 years of relevant professional experience required
Physical Requirements
Physical Requirements - Surface Environment
- Must have the ability to stand for up to 4 hours per shift
- Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles
- Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on/off equipment and ladders
- Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
- Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms/legs and good hand to eye coordination
- Must have the ability to lift/raise 10 – 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the work shift
- Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light/dark, in and around artificial light, and in a confined work area
- Must have the ability to work various shifts (required shifts include days, evening and nights, with rotating schedules, weekends and holidays)
Physical Requirements - Underground Environment
- Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time on uneven, rocky surfaces for up to the entire length of the shift
- Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles
- Must have the ability to walk for up to 4 hours at a time. Will be required to walk through different sections of the mine with varying degrees of clearance and headroom
- Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
- Must have the ability to bend or stoop for a full work period as a result of mine height
- Must have the ability to climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on/off equipment and ladders
- Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms/legs and good hand to eye coordination
- Must have the ability to lift 25 – 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and the ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light/dark, in and around artificial light, and in a confined work area
- Must have the ability to work various shifts (required shifts include days, evening and nights, with rotating schedules, weekends and holidays)
Physical Requirements - Office
- Must have the ability to sit for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to use a computer and communicate effectively in various forms, including email and by phone
- Must have the ability to review paper and electronic documents and complete computer entry of data from paper documents
- Must be able to find, remove and return files to/from file cabinets and discuss issues by telephone and in person
- Must be able to operate copier, fax machine, etc.
