Based in Moranbah

Looking to kickstart your career or take it in a whole new direction? Isaac Regional Council is offering an exciting Trainee Administration Officer position within our Community Education & Compliance (CEC) team, based in Moranbah and commencing Monday 19 January

This traineeship is open to people of all ages - whether you're a recent school leaver, returning to the workforce, or ready for a career change, this is your chance to earn an income, gain a qualification, and build valuable skills in a supportive team environment.

About the role

As a Trainee Administration Officer – CEC, you'll:

  • Provide front-line customer service support, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Learn administration skills such as data entry, filing, records management and correspondence handling.
  • Assist with coordinating meetings, workshops and community events.
  • Work towards a Certificate in III Business with full training and mentoring support.

The role at a glance

Type: Fixed Term – 12 months

Hours: Full-time, 72.5 hours per fortnight

Roster: Monday to Friday, 9-day fortnight (hello long weekends)

Who we're looking for

You don't need years of experience – just the right attitude and willingness to learn. You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have strong communication skills and enjoy helping people.
  • Are confident using basic computer programs (Microsoft Office).
  • Have completed Year 10 or higher.
  • Hold a current driver's licence (desirable but not essential).
