We are an independently owned radiology clinic near the Sunshine Coast in the Wide Bay region, established in 2016. We are committed to delivering high quality imaging and patient-focused care by remaining at the forefront of new imaging techniques to benefit our doctors, referrers, and patients.
We provide a comprehensive range of imaging and procedural services including MRI, CT, SPECT/CT, breast imaging, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, BMD, dental imaging, and general x-ray. We are a busy, professional and friendly practice, and our team goes above and beyond to give the greatest customer service to our patients every single day. About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team.
This position requires a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic clinical setting. You will need to have a strong, supportive and engaging communication style and possess the ability to work both autonomously and as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities include:
· Perform all Nuclear Medicine studies on a SPECT/CT camera
· Perform Nuclear Medicine work to a high standard in accordance with current Australian practices
· Monitor patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation safety protocols.
· Accurately read and interpret referrals and ensure all documentation is completed correctly for each examination
· Work alongside the other imaging modalities
· Establish and maintain strong working relationships with our radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, reception team and our patients
About you
· Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiation (Nuclear Medicine Technology)
· Current AHPRA registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
· Eligible for, or current QLD Radiation Use License
· Superior interpersonal skills
· Experience working with SPECT/CT systems
· Proficient skills within the Hot-Lab preparing kits, doses, and QC
· Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
· Show initiative and possess a positive attitude
· Ability to work with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds
· Strong attention to detail
· Commitment to patient-focused care
