The Role

Epworth Medical Imaging (EMI) is seeking a dynamic full time customer service orientated Radiology Administration Officer to join our Imaging Reception team, located in Geelong.

  • Strong customer service with a focus on patient centred care
  • A professional attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and work cohesively in a team environment
  • Working in a collaborative department with medical and non-medical personnel
  • Experience working with a high volume of incoming calls.
  • Previous administration experience in a Radiology practice, with a very good understanding of Radiology Information system (RIS) applications would be desirable.

Reporting to the Front Office Coordinator, the primary function of this role is to provide excellent and professional customer service to patients and referrers. Duties include answering incoming calls, arranging bookings for patients, taking payments, and liaising with the hospital to arrange inpatient appointments. The administration team contributes to the overall performance of the department, ensuring consistency with Sonic Healthcare's core values.

Epworth Medical Imaging (EMI) is part of the Sonic Healthcare network, providing high quality imaging services to both Epworth Hospital locations and the wider community.

EMI employ approximately 250 highly skilled Radiologists and staff, providing Angiography, Intervention, Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD), Computed Tomography, Dental X-Ray (OPG), General X-Ray, MRI, 3D and Contrast Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and PET and Ultrasound.
