About Us:

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer, and stronger Victoria.

The Finance and Procurement business unit provides department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership and setting the direction, policy, and processes, and partnering with the department to build capability.

Procurement and Property Services monitors and reports on procurement performance and manages several high-profile strategic projects to minimise procurement risk and support the delivery of value for money. It is also responsible for the effective operation and management of asset maintenance, fleet and property, and facilities management services across the department.

About the Role:

The role of a Senior Manager, Sourcing

  • Provides leadership within Procurement and Property Services to deliver value-for-money outcomes and realise savings for the department through strategic sourcing activities.
  • Leads projects and provide expert sourcing advice to support the development of shared strategic solutions that deliver value-for-money outcomes, ensuring that risks are managed and that business needs are achieved.
  • Manages a team of sourcing staff to develop and manage sourcing plans and category expertise.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Senior leadership and team management experience.
  • Expertise and experience in managing end-to-end procurement activities.
  • Experience managing sourcing activities in the procurement pipeline, allocating, prioritising and overseeing activities.
  • Continuous improvement and compliance experience.
