Job Description
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) leads Laurus' enterprise-wide commercial strategy, including marketing and brand, sales, admissions operations, agent and partner channels, customer acquisition, and the commercial systems architecture (CRM, website and digital platforms) across all entities and jurisdictions. This pivotal role carries executive responsibility for:* Deliver sustainable enrolment growth, revenue diversification, and strong market positioning across domestic and international education markets.
- Oversee admissions strategy, pipeline management, and conversion optimisation to ensure predictable enrolment yield and disciplined sales governance
- Drive CRM, website, and systems integration for a seamless, data-driven student acquisition experience
- Maintain full compliance with ESOS Act, National Code, CRICOS and consumer protection laws
- Champion student experience from first contact through enrolment, consistently applied across all delivery models
- Shape a customer-centric marketing approach
- Manage channels & partnerships
The Successful Applicant
As a key member of the Executive Management Team, the CCO will work closely with the CEO and other executives to translate strategy into reliable, scalable, and high-performing operational delivery across a complex, multi-campus environment. We are seeking a proactive, solutions-oriented leader with:* Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Commerce or related field; postgraduate qualification highly desirable.
- 15+ years in senior commercial roles, including experience as CCO or equivalent, with a proven record of driving growth in complex, multi-entity education organisations.
- Deep understanding of tertiary education (VET, higher ed, international), CRICOS/ESOS compliance, and agent engagement.
- Strong track record in sales, admissions, multi-channel recruitment, pricing strategy, and international market development.
- Experience leading CRM and digital marketing platforms, pipeline analytics, and system integration across SMS, LMS and finance systems.
- Ability to build and lead high-performing, values-driven teams across marketing, sales and admissions, fostering collaboration and capability uplift.
- Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. Travel to Perth, Brisbane, NZ and overseas campuses is essential for this role.
