National Focus - Melbourne Based
Responsibilities:
As the Chief Medical Officer this role will see you responsible for workplace health and wellbeing services for clients across Australia. Working for a leader in the industry, this varied and diverse role would suit a passionate and experienced Occupational Physician who is skilled in both clinical and client management roles. The role will lead a small internal health team, advise external practitioners and engage directly with clients.
We provide a supportive, collaborative environment where your strategic input and continuous improvement philosophy will be highly valued. This is an integral leadership role.
Your role will involve:
- Clinical leadership and governance of medical and allied health professionals
- Reviewing complex medical assessment findings and determining fitness for a role
- Seeking further information from treating practitioners, specialists and participants as required
- Providing case management and follow up services when needed
- Providing clinical input into strategy, service development and commercial decisions
- Work collaboratively with clients to deliver clinical services
Requirements:
- Experienced in delivering medical assessments and occupational health advice within safety critical environments
- Friendly, approachable and a strong communicator
- Confident in engaging and communicating with other medical practitioners
- Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (RACP) with good standing
- Unrestricted/unconditional AHPRA registration as a Specialist Occupational Physician
- Hold Working with Children Check and ability to obtain National Police Check
