Gym Assistant Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for supporting the Club and/or Regional Manager in the day-to-day management of the gym. The role plays a crucial part in supporting the Club and/or Regional Manager in boosting sales and profitability while maintaining a high level of member care and satisfaction. This role will be offered as part time, with a minimum of 20 hours, and the ability to grow into the Club Manager. The ideal candidate would be someone who is looking to grow in the industry with the support of an experience team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Assist in managing all aspects of club operations, including staffing, member relations, facility management and coordination
• Develop and implement strategies to increase membership, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive revenue growth
• Assist in the planning and execution of marketing and presence on social media platforms, club events and other community engagement initiatives
• Maintain gym standards (cleanliness, maintenance, OH&S)
• Administration work including but not limited to reporting, emailing, phone calling, filing
• Assist in fostering a positive and inclusive club culture, leading and motivating a high-performing team while the club manager is absent
• Reporting directly to the regional manager who currently manages this location

• A natural ability to lead from the front with energy and warmth
• You know how to sell and do it with authenticity
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about helping others
• Confidence infant of the camera for social media content, or happy to have a laugh at yourself
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Working With Children Check and Police Check
• Minimum Certificate III in Fitness, or ability to obtain an equivalent. No fitness qualification? We have you covered, you will be able to attain a basic fitness accreditation with us.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position
