About the role:
The Consultant is responsible for providing expert guidance and strategic support on all matters related to workers' compensation claims, injury management and workplace adjustments.
The role is integral to mitigating workplace risk through the provision of expert technical support, strategic guidance, and inclusive advice to both internal and external stakeholders. It is responsible for embedding appropriate workplace adjustments and developing tailored plans that enable employees to safely and effectively perform the inherent requirements of their roles.

About you:
Can you demonstrate the following?
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to interpret, provide advice on and apply relevant legislation, regulations, guidelines, industrial agreement and departmental policies, procedures and systems.
- Manage all WorkCover claims throughout the lifecycle process
- Assist delivering the department's injury management framework, supporting employees to stay at work or return to work through the facilitation of appropriate workplace adjustments.
- Develop and implement workplace adjustment and arrangement passports to support employees with disability and or neurodiversity.
- Develop and manage relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in an allied health, or human resource background is highly desirable.
Specialist Expertise
- Knowledge and understanding of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic).
- Extensive experience in managing complex injury management cases - preferably with a WorkCover Insurer or rehabilitation provider.
