About the role:

The Senior Consultant, Organisational Development works in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver strategic initiatives and projects to uplift employee experience and the organisational culture, curating a highly engaged and high performing workforce.

The role uses contemporary, evidence-based organisational development practices to provide advice and consultancy across the department. As a member of the team, it is expected the incumbent to collaborate within the team and other functional areas to design, develop, deliver and evaluate tools and resources and department-wide initiatives to improve talent acquisition, employee wellbeing, development and succession planning.

The position plays a key role in the end-to-end delivery of the People matter survey and other tools to measure the employee experience. The position also plays a leading role in the department's annual Employee recognition awards.

The incumbent will need exceptional written communication skills and the ability to produce high quality communication materials such as presentations, briefs, guides and resources while effectively identifying and tailoring content to meet the varying needs of stakeholders.

Can you demonstrate the following?

  • Provides leadership in the application of organisational development concepts to drive improvements to the employee experience and organisational culture.
  • Modifies and applies technical concepts to new situations that may impact the beyond the immediate work.
  • Relies on formal and informal communication channels to achieve goals and engages stakeholders to help them identify areas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identifies key messages and information required for decision-making. Provides advice on the content and style appropriate to the audience.

Qualifications / Specailist Expertise

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in human resources, organisational development, psychology, business management or a related field will be well regarded.

Specialist Expertise

  • Knowledge of contemporary organisational development practices desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, development, implementation and evaluation of talent management and organisational development initiatives.
