Overview

As part of The Man Cave's Delivery Team (Squad), the Facilitator plays a critical role in delivering TMC's school programs and experiences. Facilitators co-lead engaging, impactful workshops for boys and young men in schools, supporting them to explore healthy masculinity, emotional intelligence, and respectful relationships.

This role requires professionalism, self-awareness, and alignment with The Man Cave's values, ensuring programs are delivered safely, consistently, and to best-practice

standards. Facilitators will receive coaching and supervision from Facilitation Coaches, the Facilitation Manager, and Chief Experience Officer, who provide ongoing support for

performance, engagement, and wellbeing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Workshop Facilitation

  • Co-facilitate full-day workshops with groups of 25-50 high school young people (at times this may be more or less).
  • Train in and deliver The Man Cave's core programs – Levels 1-3 student workshops, Parent Keynotes, Foundations workshop, and Educator PD.
  • Participate in, and contribute to pre- and post-workshop team briefings, ensuring thorough preparation, reflection, and learning.
  • Manage disclosures and child safety concerns safely and in line with TMC's reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Effectively manage disclosures and child safety concerns, including reporting these to necessary stakeholders or authorities in line with The Man Cave policies, and reporting/escalation requirements.
  • Ensure all required workshop resources are provided to participants.
  • Complete all required program documentation, including debriefs, Hubspot disclosure forms, and ensuring relevant, timely feedback is provided to the Facilitation Manager and Relationships team after the program.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with teaching staff and school partners, promoting other TMC offerings where appropriate.
  • Support the smooth delivery of workshops by taking self-responsibility and ensuring all required resources, materials and logistics are provided.

HQ Days and Administrative Support

  • Support and co-facilitate team initiatives, including regroup days, squad training, recruitment, and recognition activities
  • Collaborate with the Chief Experience Officer, Facilitation Manager, and Delivery Coordinator on projects aligned with TMC's Annual and Quarterly Business plans.
  • Assist with systems, tools, and documentation that strengthen facilitation quality, communication, and professional development.
  • Contribute to internal storytelling and feedback loops by sharing key field insights, trends and moments from workshops to inform strategy and program improvement.
  • Support the implementation and completion of initiatives outlined in The Man Cave's organisational Heatmap, ensuring progress is tracked and actions are delivered within agreed timeframes.
  • Collaborate with other departments across TMC on cross-functional projects and organisational priorities, and undertake additional duties as reasonably required.

Learning and Development

  • Attend and actively participate in compulsory training and skill development sessions.
  • Engage in experiential learning designed to build facilitation skills, self awareness, and emotional intelligence.
  • Take personal responsibility for self-care, wellbeing and readiness before and after workshops, with the support of The Man Cave community.
  • Participate in Group Support Sessions led by a mental health professional to process experiences and sustain wellbeing.
