Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Service Consultant to lead the implementation, optimisation, and
support of New Relic's APM solutions for our clients. This role involves collaborating with
cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, provide expert guidance, and drive
continuous performance improvements in application monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
● Implementation & Integration: Lead the deployment and configuration of New
Relic APM in client environments, ensuring alignment with application architectures
and business objectives.
● Monitoring & Optimization: Utilise New Relic's suite of tools to monitor
application health, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement solutions to
enhance system reliability and efficiency.
● Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support for incident management,
conducting root cause analysis, and delivering resolutions to minimize downtime and
performance issues.
● Documentation & Reporting: Create comprehensive documentation, including best
practices, incident reports, and performance dashboards, to support ongoing
monitoring and optimization efforts.
● Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and New Relic product
updates to recommend enhancements and ensure clients leverage the full potential of
APM solutions.

Requirements Qualifications
● Experience: Minimum of 3 years in application performance monitoring, with hands-
on experience using New Relic APM tools.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and managing APM tools, interpreting
performance metrics, and implementing monitoring solutions in cloud and on-premise
environments.
● Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex
performance issues and devise effective solutions.
● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability
to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
● Certifications: New Relic Certified APM Practitioner - Associate (APA) certification
or similiar New Relic Cert
Preferred Qualifications
● Cloud Platforms: Experience with New Relic essential, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes
Certifications or Google Cloud Platform.
● Experience with: Splunk, Elastic and a infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like
Terraform or Ansible.
● Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript
for automation and customization tasks.
● Collaboration Tools: Experience using collaboration and project management tools
like Jira, Confluence, or Slack.
● Familiarity with: CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
