The opportunity:

As a Senior Engineer - Protection, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our projects. As part of a multi-disciplinary design team, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks and ultimately contribute to the successful delivery of Powerlink's design major projects group.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

• Providing Technical Leadership
• Coaching and mentoring to design staff
• Process Implementation
• Supporting and managing external design work
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Fostering Innovation and collaborative environment
• Delivery of design work incorporating Circuitry, Protection and Control

As part of our Design Solutions group, you'll join a team of professionals dedicated to the delivering excellence in Major Projects Design based between our Virginia and Bowen Hills locations. What you'll bring:

• An Electrical Engineering degree and current RPEQ registration in a relevant field
• Experience in HV and EHV Protection Engineering within complex infrastructure environments
• Strong expertise delivering Protection Systems design using both internal teams and outsourced resources
• Proficiency with fault analysis tools (e.g., PSSE, Mathcad) and protection relay software
• Comprehensive understanding of substation design including Primary, Secondary, and Automation systems
