The Role
We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Function & Events Manager to join our team. This dynamic dual-role position is ideal for someone who thrives in high-energy environments, leads with confidence from the floor, and has a keen eye for detail, especially within the wedding and events space. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is looking to grow with us and become a key part of our venue's future.
As the primary onsite contact for weddings, you'll guide couples through their planning journey post-booking, create run sheets, host site inspections, and execute their event vision. You'll work alongside our Group Sales Manager (who oversees sales, corporate and social event coordination) and Operations Manager (who leads day-of logistics), taking ownership of the guest-facing event experience.
During the off-season, your focus will shift to restaurant management, where you'll lead front-of-house operations and contribute to our dynamic hospitality team.
Key Responsibilities
Weddings & Events (Primary Focus- seasonal)
- Be the key onsite contact for all wedding clients.
- Conduct site inspections with professionalism and warmth.
- Liaise with couples to finalise details using our structured event templates
- Produce detailed wedding run sheets and ensure all elements align with guest expectations.
- Lead the execution of weddings and all events from setup to close
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager for seamless service delivery.
- Uphold brand identity across all weddings, ensuring excellence in every detail.
- Manage event inventory and continuously refine execution processes.
- Mentor and train staff to deliver high-standard, detail-oriented event service.
Restaurant Management
- Oversee daily FOH operations in collaboration with Venue Managers and GM
- Co-Manage bookings via SevenRooms, ensuring flow and service quality.
- Lead group bookings and guest communications.
- Champion a culture of hospitality, team morale, and service efficiency.
About You
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality management, ideally in an event-heavy venue.
- Strong background in restaurant operations and a genuine passion for weddings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and guest care.
- Excellent personal presentation and communication skills.
- Confident in fast-paced settings with clear communication and poise.
- Familiarity with restaurant systems like SevenRooms and POS software is preferred but not essential
- Available weekends, evenings, and peak periods.
- RSA certification is essential.
- Must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia
