About the role

Giovenco Projects Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter to join our growing team in Bowral, NSW. As a Carpenter in our residential construction business, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of high-quality homes for our clients. This is a full-time position based in our Bowral location.

What you'll be doing

  1. Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications to carry out carpentry work as per the project requirements
  2. Performing a range of carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, flooring, cladding, and finish work
  3. Collaborating with the broader construction team to ensure seamless project delivery
  4. Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
  5. Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process
  6. Providing hands-on mentorship and guidance to junior members of the carpentry team

What we're looking for

  1. Formal carpentry qualification, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in a residential construction environment
  3. Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and best practices
  4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  7. Familiarity with reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
