About Surgery, Anaesthesia and Procedural Medicine division

The Surgery, Anaesthesia and Procedural Medicine Division is responsible for over 50,000 procedures per year delivered to the community serviced by Austin Health. Our planned and emergency services include procedural, general surgery and specialty surgery.

About the role 

The Division is seeking two organised and proactive Medical Administration Coordinators (three and four days/week). These roles are vital in managing medical workforce administration, recruitment, rostering, and payroll coordination.

A regular day will see you:   

  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for medical staff.
  • Maintain compliance with AHPRA and medical colleges.
  • Develop and manage rosters and leave schedules.
  • Support payroll processes and budget tracking.
  • Act as a central contact for medical admin queries. 

About you 

As the Medical Administration Coordinator, You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in

developing your skillset.

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in recruitment, rostering, and payroll coordination
  • High attention to detail and time management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Understanding of EBAs and medical workforce processes
