We have an opportunity for an Employee Relations Specialist to join the team at the Sydney Head office.
The Opportunity - About the Role
Join our team as an Employee Relations Specialist, where you'll shape and implement ER strategies, leveraging your expertise in employee relations case management, including Fair Work claims and anti-discrimination matters. As a trusted advisor, you'll provide pragmatic advice, navigate industrial reforms, manage complex cases, and ensure compliance with pay and entitlements. You'll also engage in project work, coach junior team members, and drive meaningful outcomes across the People & Culture team, fostering a fair and compliant workplace.
About You
You will have 8-10 years of experience in a focused Workplace/Employee Relations role within the Human Resources job family. You will possess a deep understanding of the Australian Workplace Relations System and have experience applying employment legislation, HR policies, and governance frameworks. Including:
Proficient in using economic, financial, market, and data insights to drive initiatives.
- Ability to apply a commercial perspective to influence and collaborate with key decision-makers for transformational change.
- Strong communication skills for interacting at all organizational levels.
- Self-organized with excellent planning and project management abilities, capable of handling multiple, time-sensitive projects.
- Effective problem-solving skills to identify, develop solutions for, and escalate potential issues.
