Civil Engineer – Step Into Civil Technology | Melbourne

If you're a technically minded engineer looking to move away from day-to-day site delivery and into something more strategic, this opportunity could be ideal.

We're representing a fast-growing civil technology business that's changing how contractors and project teams manage cost control in real time across the construction and infrastructure sectors. The platform is already being used by over 100 contractors and continues to expand nationally.

They're now looking for an engineer (ideally at Project Engineer level) to become the
Civil Lead
for the business. This is a newly created role where you'll act as the technical bridge between clients and the internal development team — ensuring the platform evolves with real industry insight.

Key responsibilities:

  • Represent the civil and infrastructure industry within the business, providing feedback and technical input
  • Work closely with clients to identify potential product improvements and enhancements
  • Support business development and client engagement activities, including presentations and industry events
  • Use your technical background to help drive the evolution of a market-leading platform
  • Build strong relationships with contractors and project teams to understand their challenges and workflows

About you:

  • Background as a Civil Engineer or Project Engineer within contracting or infrastructure
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Commercially minded, analytical, and keen to solve real industry problems
  • Confident presenting and engaging with clients and senior stakeholders
  • Interested in how technology is improving delivery, performance, and cost control
